Frequently asked questions

CBD oil is a popular natural remedy used for many common ailments and is nowadays widely accepted. While many users claim CBD oil has done amazing things for them and experienced it as an aid for diverse medical conditions, particularly pain, anxiety, depression, and sleep disorders, it doesn’t require a prescription.
This non-psychoactive hemp derived product is finding its way into our beauty routines, supplement cabinets, and even our meals and snacks. You can buy it as an oil, capsule, balm, lotion, or even infused in chocolate and gummies.
CBD comes from the industrial hemp (cannabis) plant and it doesn’t contain THC and won’t get you high.
Although good CBD oil is very safe, it's important to look for a trustworthy product that has been tested for quality, consistency, and safety. Most importantly, find a brand you can trust and one that's going above and beyond in terms of transparency and quality.

The least processed form of the cannabis plant is hemp. Hemp contains most of the CBD that people use medicinally. Hemp and marijuana come from the same plant genus, Cannabis sativa, but the two are very different.
CBD is one of 120+ natural cannabinoids that are extracted from the industrial hemp plant Cannabis Sativa L .. CBD and other natural (Phyto)cannabinoids such as CBDA, CBG, CBGA, CBN, in combination with terpenes and minerals, provide the benefits of a broad spectrum CBD product.
When a CBD oil also contains THC cannabinoids, it is a full spectrum CBD oil. In the UK THC is a controlled substance and prohibited in CBD oils.

The human body produces certain cannabinoids on its own. It also has two receptors for cannabinoids, called the CB1 receptors and CB2 receptors. CB1 receptors are present throughout the body, but many are in the brain.
The CB1 receptors in the brain deal with coordination and movement, pain, emotions, and mood, thinking, appetite, memories, and other functions. THC attaches to these receptors. CB2 receptors are more common in the immune system. They influence inflammation and pain.
Researchers once believed that CBD attached to these CB2 receptors, but it now appears that CBD does not attach directly to either receptor. Instead, it seems to activate the body to produce more of its own (endo) cannabinoids.

The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is your body's own system made up of a group of endogenous cannabinoid receptors in the brain and throughout the body's central and peripheral nervous systems. You could say that the ECSis the body's cannabinoid system. It was discovered by Prof. Dr. Raphael Mechoulam.

The human body produces substances that are very similar to cannabis-like substances. So much so that the body recognizes cannabis as natural. These substances are called endocannabinoids. These cannabinoids are also found in the industrial hemp plant Cannabis Sativa L. and we call these cannabinoids phytocannabinoids instead of endocannabinoids. Endo means body and Phyto means vegetable. It is therefore important to supplement a deficiency of the body's cannabinoids with vegetable cannabinoids.

CBD is one of the natural cannabinoids of the industrial hemp plant. These and the other plant cannabinoids such as THC, THCA, CBDA, CBG, CBGA, and CBN, in combination with the terpenes and minerals from the Cannabis Sativa L. plant, provide the benefits of a full-spectrum CBD oil. Full-spectrum keeps the full properties of the hemp plant intact. By retaining all vegetable components, the so-called entourage effect is created.

In several countries in the world, the cannabinoid THC is banned or only allowed in very small amounts. THC is the cannabinoid that users can get “high” from. However, the permitted amounts of THC in the form of CBD oil can never cause a “high” feeling. As soon as the THC cannabinoid is removed from the composition, it is referred to as a broad spectrum CBD oil.

With an isolate, all cannabinoids and other substances present have been removed except for the cannabinoid CBD. Unfortunately, we see many products on the market that consist of CBD in isolate form. The effect of these products has not been proven, so it is better not to use them.

A study by the Lautenberg Center for General and Tumor Immunology, Department of Medicinal and Natural Products, Institute for Drug Research, The Hadassah Medical School, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem - Israel, published in 2015, examined the effectiveness of isolated CBD extracts versus whole plant extracts.

It turned out that CBD full spectrum continued to relieve inflammation as the dose was increased and, for example, is much more effective than CBD isolate in relieving pain.

The entourage effect was first introduced in 1998 by Prof. Dr. Raphael Mechoulam, a well-known Israeli cannabis chemist and expert. Prof. Mechoulam is recognized as the foremost innovator and pioneer of cannabis research.

Mechoulam found that natural cannabinoids often had less psychoactive effects, while the beneficial effects of the ingredients seemed stronger. He compared cannabinoids with a variety of active substances (full spectrum) with cannabinoids in which these substances were isolated and purified (isolates).

Mechoulam concluded that the different components in cannabinoids (full spectrum) work together and respond positively, produce many potential therapeutic effects, and therefore have a greater impact than, for example, isolated CBD (isolate). He gave this the name entourage effect.

Pure Natur is one of the first European companies to offer a unique range of cold-pressed cannabinoid-rich hemp oils. The cold-pressed method we use is one of the most environmentally friendly methods and the hemp oil we produce contains many more natural elements from the hemp plant than traditional hemp oil, which is produced using different extraction methods.

We don't use any solvents, just pressure and water.
Pure Natur believes in nature in its purest form. So for our cold-pressed hemp oils we do not use unnatural extraction methods such as supercritical CO2, ethanol or alcohol extraction - which requires chemical solvents - but we squeeze the whole plant through our equipment, without using chemical solvents.

The result
A unique 100% natural cold-pressed hemp oil, which ensures a higher bioavailability with all nutrients, natural fats, vitamins and phytocannabinoids left intact, resulting in a maximum entourage effect.
